Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum, and recently purchased the EOD product in October 0f 2006. I have not started trading with the product as yet but been using the time to get to grips with the software, and all the training material along with the daily reports.

I intend to use the software for spread betting and I am keen to learn how other EOD users may be using the software and with which markets. Historically I have only focused on the Forex and main indicies (DOW, SP500, FTSE).

I have very little knowledge concerning shares from an ‘active’ point of view. That said from the side line view that I have had over shares for the past 3 years they appear to be more volatile than indicies and based on the T3 setup strategy you could more often than not be taken out of the market, but at the CLOSE of the day have the trade go in your favour based on the T3 setup.

I personally believe that the CLOSE price is the most important. It is the balance of everything for the day be it fundamental/technical or news hype. Again this is just my personal view for what it is worth.

With the above in mind would it be advantageous to use the CLOSE price for T3 setup as apposed to a high or low being exceed based on either a sell or buy position. I do appreciate that the money management and profit projection would have to be reassessed.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Baz

You paid a lot of money for MTP and I would strongly suggest that you start off by using it as per the documentation prpvided by its developer. Later, when you know what you have got, you could make additions and changes.

As an aside, the close is an arbitrary price against which margins are calculated. Markets are 24 hours nowdays.
