Hi Everybody,
To gauge feedback, and see what you (the customers) want and need from us (MTPredictor) I would like to see how many people, wish us to continue with the eSignal efs's developement. I will have to look into TS8 but for now I would like to ask about the eSignal ef's only.
Please understand that adding the new automatic DP trade set-ups and the WPT filtering will be "additional" coding into eSignal, a small upgrade fee will be needed to cover these additional costs (I am sure you all understand that)
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
yes please, with ninja I encountered some difficulties (problem), so: I'd like to continue my job/pleasure with eSignal....
Many thanks and
Best wishes
Hi Steve,
I think it would be nice to be also able to use the esignal efs's in the future. I like NT and am getting used to it but I am also using esignal alongside. I think it's good to be able to choose between two options. Some customers complain about esignal and I guess they have their reasons, but I think other vendors have issues too. Additional fees for new efs's are fine with me. I haven't seen any trading software company with the service you provide, along with the training and product development. That is worth far more than the additional $250,- that you ask for the NT add-on.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
PB

One of the things that attracted me to MTP was that you supported multiple trading platforms and that when you joined MTP you had access to all of them. I use a number of platforms and have used at one time or other all of the different MTP versions. I happily paid the Ninja add-on in the belief that the existing policy was the policy.
I am getting a little bit uncomfortable with what looks like a change to this policy. As traders, we use what tool best serves us to make profits. Having different classes of MTP use depending on which upgrade fee I paid is not an attractive prospect, especially when new users who did not support MTP earlier seem to be getting a better deal.

For my part I find esignal outrageously overpriced and not particularly reliable. Different data from different servers, gaps in the data, lost connections etc etc. I still use TS 2000i and rather like NT. If I can get to grips with progrmming it I may ditch 2000i in its favour.
I shall loose no sleep if MTP efs is confined the the trash. The development resources would be much better spent on EOD V6 with RT capabilities and NT.

Hi Guys,
I wish all my programmers worked for free and as such I could continually add new features to all and every platform on the planet, but with most programmers charging $100 per hour, this just gets expensive, especially when this additional cost is being used to add additional and new features to old versions.
Perhaps I should introduce a on-going support charge (a yearly charge) that entitles users to all futures upgrades.
I am sure you all understand that programming cost money and money does not grow on tress.
Thanks
Steve

Not a support charge but an upgrade charge would be fair as long as the same functionality was provided accross all the main platforms.
Making a charge each time there was a significant upgrade makes business sense and any trader wishing that extra functionality would pay a reasonable fee. Adding DP signals like the TSx signals across all three platforms (Tradestation, eSig and Ninja) is not more difficult than adding the TS4. Yes, all the trading platforms have some advantages and some disadvantages but each provides something different to some trader.
We are all supportive customers who have bought MTP as one of our tools. MTP has provided a useful tool as well as ongoing support and trainning which is one of the reasons why we bought MTP.
All I am saying as your customer is that the status quo be maintained and I have the same access to MTP's functionality no matter what platform I happen to want to use. I am prepared to pay a reasonable amount to maintain this.

Hi Steve,
I don't know when you last used e-signal but my experience has been completely different and I have just completed 1 year of use. During that time I can only remember 3 occassions when their servers were down for a short time. I tend to trade forex and they do upon occassion have the odd intraday bar which is clearly out of line with the prior and post trading activity which they are slow to rectify. But all in all I am extremely pleased with the product and their support here in the UK.
One the other hand whilst the support team at NT are very helpful there are gaps in the functionality which are not a problem if you are trading e-mini's and a small number of indices. But if you are trading forex and need to work from a lot of different charts it becomes a real issue as referred to in Gremtp post number 1001 on the "US Markets Real Time Thread". In addition I have had experience of missing bars with NT and without a 240 minute, 480 minute and 1440 minute default time frame you have to go to the data series box and type in the time frame every time you want to use these periods which takes quite a while. The reason I mention 1440 minute which is effectively 1 day is that if you open a daily chart after the market has already started trading. Say it is 07:00am and the forex market would have started at 00:00am your daily bar will only shown the price activity from 07:00am and the bar will not include the previous 7 hours hence the need to use a 1440 minute chart which gets around this problem

if you have been having problems opening NinjaTrader with open charts - ie NinjaTrader locking up when opening could you please send me an email
We have been working on a fix here with the Guys at NinjaTrader and would like to test a fix with some of you who have been having this issue.
This is why I like working with NinjaTrader, because they get issues resolved very quickly - always signs of a good company :)
Thanks

Steve,
At this time I too support continued development with Esignal. I've downloaded the NT module you've provided for trial use but have not been successful with getting NT to even properly work on my two systems. So my trial as been for nothing unfortunately. NT support did ask a couple questions regarding updates to my system which I'm trying to resolve. I really like the idea of NT not requiring the need to have multiple charts open. Also I like the new filter you created. Just wish I could use NT and find out for myself if it's something I would want to eventually upgrade too. In the meantime, Esignal is it for me.

Steve,
I have used eSignal for a few years now and have had very few problems with data. I like to have 12 charts open (3,5 and 15 min NQ, ES, AB and YM) so I can view the relative strength of the indices. I really hope that you decide to continue developing the efs files for eSignal (paid service ok) until Ninja Trader is truly ready for primetime. That sound like it could be a year or two away yet.
Thanks
