Hi
I just was wanting to know if anyone out there is trading the DAX and the FTSE? I know that Tombtrader and Chris Eddison trade the euro markets with lots of success. I just wanted to know if any one else was too?

I am experimenting with range bars and I have started trading Dax and Ftse.
I used to trade Dax many years ago and I blew up a couple of accounts with it in no time. But those were the old days.
DIfficult beast, but when it moves it is like a train. €25 a point is not for the fainthearted, though.
Hey Tombtrader, good posts on the e-mini forum.
You must be quite happy today with your range bars, again.
I think I was too quick taking profits ( I have even reversed once! Only to be stopped out, on the FTSE), but nevertheless I got about 6R on DAX and 6R on FTSE in 2 hours of trading.
Dax: 3 win, 2 losses
FTSE: 2 wins, 2 losses.
I am sure there still much more I can find out.
For obscure reasons I am also interested in testing a similar approach on time bars: one minute for instance.
Interestingly, although I would have had to take some minor liberties, the MTP standard set ups would have given about 5R on DAX and 2R on FTSE in the first couple of hours.
PS: TT did you say you actually teach this stuff???

Great work gremtp. Its a pretty normal day today in the DAX. Just been shopping, had a nap and I'm waiting for the russel tp open.
Yes, I have taught a few people but only when I need to get my own discipline back if I go off piste. Nothing like teaching to bring back discipline. But MTP is only a small part of it.

Hello guys,
You trade the DAX from the EUREX market.
Concerning the FTSE, is it the FTSE 100 Indice from the London Stock Exchange ?
Thanks
Cheers
