Hi ,
how relaible has ESignal been lately? This morning for there is no European data available. ( Third time this week)
Does anybody make use of Interactive Brokers as there data feed. In all three outages the IB platform was working.
I anybody is using IB as there data feed any comments would be appreciated.

Dear Eckbert,
It is working fine here in the UK and I am getting intra day data for the European indices without any problems. In fact I have not had one problem with e-signal for about 7 months. I think that the key is the reliability of the servers that they are using to support the local market. I was having problems last year and I think that they upgraded their capacity

Eckbert, if you are NOT using eSig charting then the problem was most likely a routing problem between the eSig servers and your location. If you ARE using eSig charting then make sure you put in a number of days of data in your time setups for tick and volume charts.
IB data misses some highs and lows as it is snapshot data. You get what you pay for. I do use it as a backup but know I may miss alerts.

Hi Tomb thankd for the input. I only use Esignal as there data feed. They did have a problem. Although the way they have been putting it that the problem lies with the exchange and the exchange is busy upgrading there system.
The excuse this morning was :
"I am sorry we had the Euronext feed down today. That exchange had 3 feeds, EMDS, Connect and LMF2, we take the latter LMF2 and the exchange had problems with this feed. Your broker would not have had LMF2 as it is not a trading platform feed.
We are soon to change to EMDS, as this will replace LMF2 and Euronext tell us this is a better feed and once all the tests are finished we will switch to it. I hope this will be 4th quarter."
I'll keep the issue with IB in mind.
