I am trying to come up with a strategy for filtering the list of stocks that I feed into MTPredictor. I have some general guidelines like Volume over 500,000 and Price over $15.
Does it make sense to further filter the list for MTP? Is it possible that further filtering would actually defeat what the scanner is going to find anyway? For example, if you filter the list to show only stocks in the top 5 industries or those with the highest earnings, couldn't you miss a stock that was making a perfect Elliot wave 3, for some other reason? If the wave is forming, then there must be some reason for it even if we can't figure out the exact cause.
Are there any studies done on the best probabilty for success when using waves and other indicators?
Thanks,
Ned
