The new eSignal version 10 Release Candidate 1 has been released to the public and is available here:
http://www.esignal.com/download/

There is an issue that when you scroll back, the MTP buttons disappear.

See screen shot.

Otherwise the Range Bars look great.

I can't seem to load EOD onto a new Vista laptop. Is it best to contact the support team on Monday. I'm ready to throw the laptop up against a brick wall. Nothing seems to be working or loading properly. Does MTP have someone you can pay to set up ones computer with the software and data?

thanks but its just been very frustrating getting set up after purchasing the software. I've literally spent hours trying to figure it out and am not sure whether the MTP software folks can figure things out or whether I need to call in a computer geek for 500 smackeroos to sort things out.

did you email support? Steve is usually very good at such things. I also think he hired a new guy to do some tech support. I would be surprised if you had to go outside MTP to get it resolved.

Thanks again. I'll just have to wait until Monday but it sure would have been keen to have everything up and running this weekend and then to be able to load data and play with the functionality of the trade setups. Steve,Matt and Bruce have been helpful on other things so hopefully this won't seem like such a bother. I just hope it won't tie anyone up for too long as people got a whole lot of other things to do if you know what I mean.

Later,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes Vista can be a pain, in fact Bill Gates has made Vista far harder to use then XP ever was, and in my opinion does not work as well and cannot do many things. Amazing that Microsoft took 6 years developing Vista to basically make all of life's much harder !!!

I have Vista here and MTP EOD is running OK, so I am sure we will be able to help you....

Please email admin@MTPredictor.net and I will be able to help you directly today (Yes I am working on a Sunday, as I have some new efs's to test :) ) . Not many companies offer support over the weekend ;)

Yes there does seem to be an issue with eSignal v10 and their own efs code, as you say their own efs does not appear to work in their new v10 as it did in v8.0.

Why can't companies make new releases that are totally "backward compatible"....... this just makes everybody life's more difficult :(

Good job we are working on new efs's here at the moment ;) I will get our programmer to drop eSignal a line and see why their own efs code no longer works in their latest version....

So, would you suggest to hold off in installing the new Esignal update v10 until that problem is resolved?

Exactly,

For the moment the MTPredictor efs's only support eSignal 8.0 (Not 10.0)

Steve:

Let me know how I can contact you to straighten out the MTP EOD on Vista. You're right, it's been a living nightmare.

Thanks,

Tom

To All Concerned:

To load MTP onto the new Vista operating system, first click EOD v5.0 Full Installation Build 79/81 (highlighted in blue on the download page on the MTP site).

After this is completed (in a minute or two), you then run: UPDATE EOD v5.0 (to Build 82) directly underneath the first highlighted blue link listed in the paragraph above.

You have to do both, it seems but the whole process took less than five minutes to complete. The EOD will not work if you only dowload one of the links.

Does anyone know if this release candidate has the range bars that the 8.1 beta has?

I am also wondering why the jump from 8x to 10. What happened to 9? But I guess that is for the folks at eSignal.

Thanks,

Greg
