Steve, can you give me an update on when we might expect the release of the new version of MTP that was mentioned last summer? (I don't mean the recent DP updated version.)
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,
Yes the new EOD v6.0 is coming along nicely, with the programmer working all hours he can to get this ready as soon as possible. But because this is a "complete re-write" from the ground up, it has taken longer than initially anticipated. but this means that we will have a completely new MTPredictor program that will have many many big improvements over the old v5.0.
For example, EOD v6.0 can plot multiple charts in multiple windows so you can organize all your saved charts much more efficiently. We will also have automatic Position sizing with all the common markets (tick size and tick values) pre-programmed into the software. We will also have a new "automatic" DP (decision Point) trade set-up, as well as the standard "show Elliott Waves" and "WPT" modules.
We also have plans to add in direct connections (via API's) into other EOD data feeds, but this will be added in a future upgrade and will probably not be in the first release.
Because the program has completely re-designed it will be incredibly easy to use, and will have a new and modern look and feel..
Because this will be a big improvement over the current EOD v5.0 there will be an upgrade fee for all current users as well as a price increase for new purchases. I will give you all more details on this once we have finalised these and get nearer a release date.
So for now, please bear with us as we complete the programming, so for now we do not have any initial release date, but I hope to know more towards the end of Jan next year.....
Thanks

Hi Ben,
Yes, the new EOD v6.0 will be a very different program from the current v5.0, please see below for some screen captures.
As I said above, we still have a lot of programming to do before we can consider an "initial release date", but I hope in another month (end Jan / Beginning Feb) I should have a better idea of how much more we have to go and how long it may take.
So please bear with us, as I said, we are making good progress but programming takes time, but the wait will be worth it....
Steve
PS, the initial release will not be the end either. I have lots of great things planned which will be added soon after the initial release. But I will give you more details of these once I know more towards the end Jan / Beginning Feb...
Lastly, if any new prospects are thinking of just waiting for the new version, I would like to remind you that there will be a price increase with this new version, as well as an upgrade fee for current customers. so it makes no financial difference to wait for the new version or come aboard now with the current EOD v5.0... You will still be able to find the same great trades now with the current EOD v5.0...

Hi Guys,
The new EOD v6.0 is still coming along nicely, we just finalised the "Elliott Waves" module today, please see pic below........ Nice how this nailed virtually all the recent turns in the Nasdaq for us :)
But seriously, although we are coming along nicely we still have quite a bit of work to complete even before we can start to let our Beta testers take a look.
I did promise an update at the beginning of Feb, but now it looks like I will need a few more weeks before I can asses where we stand.
But needless to say we are all working very hard at this and making good progress, but we still have more coding to do before Beta testing can start.
Thanks

Steve,
Thanks very much, for the update. I must admit, the nearer this version gets to being released, the harder it is to wait. I know the wait will be worth it, however.
There are LOTS of charting programs out there, but NOT ONE has the VERY crucial money management features that are included in MTP. In fact, it's the money mgt capabilities that sold me on your program. :D
Good luck to you and your development team and to us, the beneficiaries of your efforts.

Hi Steve
Can you provide more details on the eod data feed providers that might or might or might not be directly connected into the new eod mtp. Thanks

Hi Ben,
Yes it has been a lot of work, but the results are brilliant, please see below.
After nailing the Wave 5 high on the Nasdaq (which unfolded right at the minimum Wave 5 WPT), we had an "initial decline", this was probably a Wave 1 of a new impulsive sequence, so the trade entry was on a Wave 2 (ABC) rally.
An that is exactly what unfolded..... with the automatic TS1 sell
Yes it was a choppy decline, but for the advanced traders who were anticipating an impulsive wave 3 type decline from there, well, the profit of 16x the initial risk was definitely worth it :)
But as you say, Ben, we have all the tools that will not only allow you to just analyze the market but also use correct position size and then gauge the profits (in terms of risk units).
All this is unique to MTPredictor.....
Thanks
Steve

Hi Paul,
At the moment we have the same as in EOD v5.0, the ability to read ASCII or Metastock.
But, after the initial release I will be looking into direct API connections (EOD data only), for example into Unfair Advantage (from CSIData). But I have no details on this as yet, as we need to get the main program finished first and out there before we start looking at enhancements like this
But Yes, I have lots of goodies planned for upgrades after the initial release :)

Steve
Is there any prospect at this late stage of including a decent back testing routine? I spend a lot of time testing ideas to improve my entries & exits and the present, manual, day by day facility is a real pain.
If not, even something like the 'dots' on the Ninja RT version would be better than nothing.
Hopefully.

Hi Guys
Just to let you all know that I am also looking into making a fully "real-time" connection into eSignal in the new v6.0. So it may not be "just" an End-Of-Day program, but may have RT capabilities as well
If we can do this, then the RT users among you will be able to have access to all our "advanced tools" for RT analysis. Please see below, where these nailed the "minor" ABC corrective low into the "manual" Wave 4 WPT for a +4R profit on a rally into the "manual" Wave 5 WPT's on this 3min FTSE chart......
Again I am just looking into this, but I would like to know how many RT users would find this helpful ?

Wow, Steve, what an interesting development with the RT capability. :)
In reviewing your attached picture, it does not look like there are any icon toolbars, like there is in the current EOD version. To me, having icons in a toolbar is a major ease-of-use item in the software. Will these toolbars be included in the new version? Also, will we be able to display multiple studies below the chart, such as displaying volume and the STF at the same time?
In any case, good luck in completing this new release. To say we are all "chomping at the bit" waiting for it would be a gross understatement.
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,
We are using the new "office 2007" style of menu options, this is the way new programs are being written now, with all the options in categories.
Yes, you can have multiple indicators :)

Very early days as I "look into this", but initially I would guess just eSignal. I am just looking at this, and it has not even been evaluated by our progammer yet. so very early days on the possible RT capabilities of v6.0

Why not write both offerings of MTP for MS-Excel? Multiple data vendor could power MTP and you could dispense with the hassle of multiple programmers updating efs', eld's, etc., etc. One platform, multiple feeds.

Hi Bill
Actually, we are looking at also having "timed" updates, so any users who has an ASCII data files that is updating (for example from Qcollector, or our TS8 Data.eld's or our eSignal Data.efs's) will be able to have pseudo real-time on a timed updated basis
Thanks

MTPredictor's innovative way of drawing WPT targets seems to make far better use of the space that is on a chart by restricting the WPT targets to a "reasonably narrow" horizontal area, and also by placing them at a "diagonal" that leaves a bit of room for price to trend in the anticipated direction. As more WPT targets get layered on the chart, I would expect to see a massive improvement in visual clarity compared to other programs that draw fib targets in a more traditional way.
Layering "decision point" WPTs is a step in the right direction, but I am surprised that there are not more posts on the forum that show how experienced traders can draw more advanced WPT "clusters" which show the bigger Elliott Wave picture within which a smaller automatic tradesetup is unfolding. After all, it seems that drawing isolated Elliott Waves and their corresponding targets is a task that MTPredictor EOD clearly already excels at. I would anticipate that more MTPredictor customers will want to learn how to draw their own Elliott Waves in the future, in order to take better advantage of the excellent tools in MTPredictor EOD.
Apart from the WPT targets in MTPredictor EOD, it seems that few tools are available which give traders the control they need over fibs while speeding up the workflow of drawing them, saving them to disk for later use, retrieving them, etc. All of this work contributes to fatigue and mistakes when performed with obsolete tools, but innovative tools like MTPredictor EOD have the potential to make life a lot easier. I hope that this is just the beginning of a great piece of software by a brilliant development team!

Yes, MTP has been designed to be very easy to use.
For the more experienced EW analysts, you can place all the common areas were the different EW patterns are likely to end.
No need to place on individual price projections, no need to know what projections to use and from what swings, no need to work out which Price clusters are important. MTP does all this for you.
This makes projecting the support/resistance areas where all the common Elliott Wave patterns are likely to end a breeze...

The last post was showing how the Individual WPT's (Wave Price Targets) could be placed on the chart by the experienced EW analysts.
But MTP can do far more.....
It can also automatically identify all the common EW patterns, see below where an ABC pattern is automatically found on the chart.
But here is the best bit.............. MTP uses my unique "isolation approach" to EW analysis, which means no confusing complex corrections, no changing or alternate counts. This avoids all the confusion associated with traditional EW analysis.
As usual, MTP is designed to keep life as simple and easy as possible for the Trader...

Hi Ben,
I am as keen as you are to get it released ;) But we have to finish the initial "in house" testing before I can release to a few external Beta testers.
To speed to the process up, I am not waiting until we have "all" the features in the program, I will roll out upgrades to add additional features over the months after the initial release.
I hope to have an announcement on dates soon....
