Trade Navigator Gold is an excellent program and I can export EOD Metastock and CSV data to the folders required without fault. I can also export 60min Forex data with plenty of history but am having trouble with exporting 60min Continuous 067s data - in many cases, I can only get a month or so exported, though I specify 01-01-2005 as the start date in the setup. I tried to follow Steve's example of 60min Soyabeans and couldn't get data back as far as he shows!

Any ideas?

I also use Steve's Hi Volume Stocks filter but feel that there is a problem there ....

As of today, my Hi Vol Criteria returns 780 stocks, as does my connected Hi Vol Filter but my Export directory contains 817 stocks. This leads me to think that Trade Navigator is not synchronising the Filter + Export Directory but merely adding new stocks as the group that satisfy the >1,000,000 change each day.

Not a big issue, but it means that 37 stocks that were scanned by my MTP today did not have an Average Volume over the past 20days of 1,000,000. Which ones?

It's probably unrealistic to expect that Trade Navigator would synchronise the Filter/Export Directory to maintain a true >1,000,000 list so that means periodic manual (weekly) deletion of all files in that directory?

My Continuous 067s in Trade Navigator contains 166 items yet my Metastock export directory contains 171 files. Remove 2 for Master and EMaster, that leaves a discrepancy of 3 extra files.

How about including CSI data exported from Genesis as an MTP data feed?

That way you get all the information you get via metastock but without the directory size issue.

Please can you email support on questions like these.

For example, it sounds like you do not have enough back data for your intraday data files in TN, that is why only a few months get exported into the Folder.

Yes, the TN export does not "sycrionize" with the Exported Folder, so you will have do some "housekeeing" occasionally. We are adding a new data managemnt module to the new v5.0 whcih will help in identifing redundant data files for you.

We are looking as the CSI format for v5.0 as well (but not promised)

I hope this helps ?

Genesis are looking at making Trade Navigator delete files in the target directory before exporting to fix the problem with extra data accumulating.

They are also looking at disparity seen between intraday highs and lows and daily highs and lows.

For any Australians, if you get the US data package and want ASX data as well, then you can have that for free! All you have to do is e-mail them to enable your account for ASX and download the history, they'll tell you how. Didn't ask, but I guess other exchanges may be available too.

There are no groups setup (eg asx200) but the stocks (and Indices) appear in the ALL Stocks and ALL Indices groups (as MBL.AX for example). It updates intra-day (probably 20min delayed, not sure) in the Quote board etc and downloads each day.
