Don't know if anyone else is like me and is sometimes not sure what tick/point values etc to put into the Trade Module. These two pages might help for that and margin requirements ...

LB-067 has nice looking TS1 but will rollover in next couple of days?

Hi Mcdirt,
Great post...
Thanks for posting these... I get request for this stuff all the time from new traders... this will be a great help to new traders.
Yes, the Lumber needs to be taken from the January contracts as the front month is now Jan. 06
An other good freebie for folks to check Volume and Open Intrest numbers is here:

Use the Premium Futures quotes and charts.

Thanks to both of you. These are very handy.
A question for Matt: how should one interpret instances when there are no volume numbers but there are open interest for some contracts? E.g., the Dec '05 10-year T-Note is listed as having an open interest of over 1.7MM but there is no volume number.
Thanks,
Mas

Thank you guys for the info provided. What do you use when it comes to stocks? I just used 1 for both fields, as the scale of stocks in the US markets are in dollars, but the tick, well my guess is that it's a bit arbritary, I used 1 but you could use .1 or .01 I suppose depending on time frames, etc. What are your ideas on what to use for tick in stocks?

Hi KD,
You don't need to do anything for for Stocks or Forex... just put the price in there and you are good to go.
Thanks,
-Matt

Many new traders have aske how to calculate a "Point Value" or Unit move for each commodity. Here is an even better matrix for Futures traders:
