Hi Everybody,

Here is an example of position sizing taking the recent Wave C high on Coffee.

With an initial risk of just over $1,000 per lot, risking no more than 3% on any single tarde means that with a $50,000 account you could take 1 lot.

If your account size was smaller, for example $10,000, then the risk was too great and you could not take this tarde.

Chart below.

Here is the chart showing how the Rick Caculator would have helped you here.

$10,000 account with 3% initial risk = no trade when the initial rick is over $1,100 per lot.

Hi,

Here is an example of how advanced tarders could maximise thier position using advanched techniques to reduce thier initial risk on the trade. The inside day gave the opportunity for a smaller initial risk so the trader with a $50,000 account could now trade 2 lots.

Again, it is all about keeping the initial risk small on the tardes, so when they go wrong your losses are kept small. And when they go right, your porfits are large. This is the secret for sucessful trading.
