Hi Everybody,

May I please ask for some feedback ?

Could anybody who is using the Metastock charting program (EOD or RT) please let me know on Steve@MTPredictor.com I ask because we are adding some of our MTPredictor routines into the Expert Advisor that is available in Metastock. This will be similiar to the eSignal efs's and the TradeStation eld's

But I would like to know how many people use Metastock, and as such the level of demand for this new product from us.

I use Metastock and have for quite awhile. The addition of an expert
or explorer for Metastock would be good, but how similar to MTP EOD will
it be? If it has the horsepower of MTP EOD, then why sell MTP for $1800?
I would be cautious about pricing MTP EOD out of the market with a powerful
Metastock add on. Just a thought.

I use metastock eod v7.22. It's a good charting package, evidenced by repeated wins in technical analysis of stocks and commodities awards.

I use EOD but, these days, only for position sizing and charting volatility (ATR) stops.

I have MetaStock v9 Professional for eSignal but now that I have Trade Navigator, I never use it. It's OK as an EOD package (still way behind what TradeStation was 6yrs ago) and not a very capable RT package - the disk cache has constant data corruption problems and it cannot do 4hr charts (if anyone knows how to do that, pls let me know).

Speaking of software - Steve, how is development of v5 with Trade management going?

Steve,

You have made enquiries about Metastock but I am keen to persuade you that making minor modifications to the Tradestation ELDs so they would be useable in TS2000i and RadarScreen (as ELSs or otherwise) would be:
a) extremely useful to me; and
b) although I do not know how many copies of 2000i / Prosuite Omega have sold worldwide, there must be a substantial potential market for you.
My reasons are:
1. I have been using MTP RT with esignal for RT trading when I have the opportunity (I am not a full time trader). However, for the amount of use I have from it the esignal cost is prohibitive. I happen to think their charges are grotesque for what they produce, but that is simply my view, others plainly disagree or perhaps have no choice.
2. I do not use Tradestation as a brokerage - I use Interactive Brokers and do some spreadbetting. I do not want to switch brokers simply to get (some months perhaps) their data & platform 'free'.
3. Via TS2000i I can get good quality data from various sources much cheaper than from esignal or Tradestation. IB data is essentially free where monthly commission exceeds $30. If one has an inactive month the cost is $10. Very different from the esignal $140ish including VAT or the TS $99.
Hope this is something that can be done.
I will post a copy of this email on the forum to see what, if anything, others have to say.

PS, I have moaned somewhere on the forum about the disabling message box that appears when the scanner produces no result. I would be extremely grateful if it could be ditched or some way of disabling it provided. I have had to reinstall and use V4 because of it!
