(newbie) When to move to next month...

When do you all move from the front month, to the "next" front month? Say, now we trade March.... When to we change our charts to the next expiry month?

Hi,

The general answer is that you should consider rolling over when you start noticing a drop in the front month's liquidity and a rise in the next contract's liquidity. Different contracts behave differently, some experiencing a drop a good month out before rollover, but I'd say start being vigilant two to three weeks prior to rollover.
