Your settings are the "vanilla" settings, and are probably the most conservative. Notice I don't say "best"!!! I don't think there is a best, but there are options, depending on what you want, and where you are on the experience curve... Your settings will give the highest probablility trades setups, and would be good to start with. If you uncheck all the restrictions (second section), you will get more possibilities, like setups that are developing. This will give you more to consider, BUT, you NEED to consider them deeply, and don't just make trades based on what the scanner says.... (true for your settings too....)

I like to do the scan with all the restricitons off, then analyze with some of the manual tools, or simply by the "look", and by some of the recommendations in the manuals....

Hope this helps.. Nothing beats experience with this software. Look at as many setups as your schedule will allow....

I bet Matt/Steve will respond.. and their notes will be easy 4 cents or 6 cents worth!!!

Hi Steve,

I am new to MTP also, I have had the same questions. In the last 3 days, I have run the scanner on 6000+ files, no set-ups found with the default set-up. Can you please help with the different set-ups.

I have Version 5 EOD.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your question........... As many new traders ask the same question I will make this the topic of my monthly Seminar for this month, should be ready by next week.

I ask the origional question to "awalkincrowd" because the Scanner looked like it was an old version, so I wanted to check if he (she) was a new user and what version they had....

Thanks

Steve
