Hi Steve and every one,
I came across this trade set up on DLTR. The set-up looks great. But, on the big picture ( for this stock ), the whole trend is bullish, so I am not sure how to handle in situations like this.

Hi Kepilot
This is an interesting one..
I am already long this stock I have attached a chart showing you the historic set-up on this.
The trade I assume you are looking at is the bearish ABC.
For obvious reasons I am bias towards the long side.
My argument from a TA point of view would be that Monthly Weekly & Daily timeframes are all above the 20 pma. . So if all timeframes are UP I want to be long.
It would be interesting to hear what the MTP guys position on these situations would be
p.s. I use snag-it for attaching & reducing files for carts..

Hi Biggo,
I agree with your TA. I think your long is the way to go. The current wave is the correction wave to the initial up move / impulse move. The current move does not fit the criteria for the correction wave, hence would ignore it. But, that is just my way of looking at it. Hope some will confirm or correct me.
Once again thanks for your input. I like this forum. Just today I ordered RT. I did read your feeling towards RT and agree with your analagy.
Best Regards,
KE

Hi Kepilot
I am not sure if Steve has the time too check every post that is made to the forum as I am sure his hands are pretty full most of the time. You may do better to e-mail the support e-mail address & I am sure they will answer the query. I would be interested in the answer also

Hi Kepilot
I got stopped out of this for a small profit. I tightened my stop due to the conflickting patterns.
I would be interested in what steve said in his reply to you...
Thanks

Hi Guys,
Correct I can't look at every post all of the time, I try my best, but I am only one person ..... :)
If you have a question then it will be easier to email support@MTPredictor.net directly, they will be able to answer you more quickly.
But to answer your question. I use the KISS stratergy (Keep It Simple Stupid) where I "just" look at each set-up "in isolation", then trade and manage accordingly, this helps keep things easy.
I hope this helps ?
Steve

As a PS,
See how DTLR reached the level of the Wave 1orA WPT before reversing off the Mar 10 TS2 low. This is classic MTP as outlined in Part 2 of the trading course......
As such, this was the first minor area where you should have been protecting yuor profits on the prior long trade....
Thanks

I always try to look at the chart and manually determine if the stock and MTP predictor coincide. This stock may move up, but from what I can see on a manual basis is that this is not an ABC correction to the prior wave up, but a wave 5 downtrend that began on 2-17-06. Of course I could be wrong but this is not a stock I would trade simply because of my uncertainty about it's current wave position.
I have found that I am much more successful with MT Predictor when the chart agrees manually. If I cannot find something in agreement, I don't trade.

C waves are impulsive. They subdivide into 5 smaller waves.

Hi Steel
I look for the next highest timeframe to participate in my trades.
I have attached Weekly with my thoughts on the wave count for the bigger picture
Cheers
