Hi, Matt!
Very nice your report!
Could you let us know the trailing stop loss policy you used ?
Otherwise, I hope it make not a great sense!
The results, as many posters showed here strongly depend upon the trailing stop loss policy!

Vernon

Hi Vernon,
Please see my answer to your same question on page 3 of the following thread: http://www.mtptrader.com/showthread.php?t=624&page=3
Thanks,

Matt:
Thank you for sending the daily risk report. I think that somewhere you mentioned how you configured the Trade Scanner in the EOD program. I cannot locate the parameters that you mentioned. Would you mind sharing them again? If they are proprietary, I understand.
It is just that I am unable to get my scans to match the ones in your report.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards,
Greg

Greg:
Your scans will be only an exact replica of Matt Bowen's if you use exactly the same data as Matt uses. Don't forget to make sure that all the different months are scanned in MTP.
Different data suppliers will have very slight differences in their data, so the scans will also be a bit different..Will this make much of a difference???? ...I doubt it.

Hi Everybody,
Please direct all support questions to support@MTPredictor.net. Matt is not avaiable to answer questions on this.
Greg, Any is right, you have to have the same data, and that porbabbly means that you do not have the same contract months in your list Exported from Genenesis. Keeping this list current is your responsibility.....

Regarding the 6 months MTP EOD experiment of Matt:
1. How many instruments did you considered in your basket?
2. Did you impose some restrictions of scanning?
I asked this because as I know, Steve's rules ask for all restrictions to be on, as he teach in his course!
Thanks,
Vernon

Hi Vernon,
ha ha...This is like the Spanish Inquisition...I've never seen somebody ask so many questions... you bring a new meaning to the word due diligence
If you are looking to buy a car...the final decision usually comes after you actutually DRIVE the car. In other words, you can ask a thousand questions, but you'll never know until you Drive it... the same goes with software.
In any case, here is the list of Commodities
http://www.mtptrader.com/Futures.gif
As for the restrictions... No, all restrictions were turned off.
Vernon, My purpose for doing this test was not to deliver the best results, but rather to show people how robust the system is and to show people that even if they did not use Steve's rules they can still make great trades. If my purpose was to show the best result...I would just follow Steve's rules in "Part-2" of the trading manual. Steve spent 6 years building the software, I think he knows how to use it better than anybody else does (although Durgush might be very close :) )
