Hi
Can MTP at present automatically place trades with stops and targets with any brokers? If not is this something which might be available in the future?
Apart from the convenience of this I find it extremely helpful in removing the fear and greed emotions in trading.

I trade forex with Tradestation platform and brokerage.

Not that I do this (I like to be the one making the decision to buy and sell rather than leaving it to a computer) I understand that if you have an account with Tradestation, you can set it up to automatically place a trade - I was just this weekend looking at the Tradestation demo disc and they certainly make a big point about this.

So if you can set it up based on one of its setup criteria I can't see a sensible reason why you couldn't with an MTP eft setup

No, can't be done unless MTP allows you to trap the signals to trigger the orders.

Forex strategy automation is not yet available within TradeStation, so even if strategy code was available for MTP (it is not), you could not use it to auto-trade Forex (although you could use it to auto-trade currency futures).

If you search the TSW forum (TradeStation's own user forum), you will find that Forex automation, like Eurex data, has been promised but not delivered for years rather than months...

... but TS8 is still the way to go, imho.
