As promised I am attaching my MTP trading figures for the year 1st January - 31st March 2007 - these are actual trades with real money!
I started this year with a very small account (£8,000 /$15,000) because I had a major house purchase in the pipe at the start of the year and needed my 'dosh' in the bank. Position sizing, based on 2% of the capital, has been applied from the start and apart from one awful error which resulted in a major loss (-14R

) all losses were within the 1R level. For those of you that might be interested, the -14R is a lesson for us all - I thought I had a stop in on a position, went away for a few days and came back to find I hadn't! The volatile markets of March did the rest - lesson - double check that stops are in before you leave your account!
Despite that horrific error (you will see that I am telling this warts and all) I am trading year to date at a profit. My capital account has increased by 41% ytd and stands at £11,267 /$21,970 from a starting pot of £8,000 /$15,000.
Because of the way MSA calculates breakeven trades (it puts them in as a loss when mine are actually breakeven) I no longer inlcude them in these figures and you will see from the attached data that currently I am sitting on a 43% profitable trade ratio which is more than enough to ensure a nice profit. Had it not been for my -14R loss, I reckdon my overall gain to date would have been in excess of 60% which after just 3 months trading will do me fine.
So ............. on we go into the next quarter.
